Spring Fling 2015

Registration

  • Discounted rate for MASL members
  • This rate is available to non-MASL members who do not work in the school library field (i.e. an administrator, teacher, literacy coach or the general public). It includes an Associate membership to MASL through the 2015-16 school year. Associate membership does not include voting rights.
  • Registration rate for non-members who are at the Library Media Specialist level. (i.e. working in a school library as a Library Media Specialist). This rate includes membership in MASL through the 15-16 school year.
  • This rate is for support staffers who currently work in a school library as support staff and who are not members of MASL. It includes membership in MASL through the 2015-16 school year.

 Spring Fling 2015

MASL's 2015 Spring Fling has something for everyone, including your family if you want to bring them.  We are collaborating with Cape Elizabeth Schools to provide a day of professional development for you and a bit of fun for your family.  Spring Fling will be running at the same time as the Cape Authorfest which already has 50 authors signed up to participate, boasts a parade and lots of hands-on activities. The Spring Fling topics are:

  • Library Innovation with Learning Commons pioneer Dr. David Loertscher.
  • Professional Learning Communities specifically dedicated to resoures and training for Library Support Staff.
  • Teaching Innovation which will include Project Based Learning and MakerSpaces.
  • Literacy & Love of Reading via the Cape Authorfest.

These sessions are designed to be of interest and usefulness to librarians, administrators, teachers, literacy specialists and support staff.  Invite someone from your staff and share  a great professional development day with them.
