K-5 School-Wide Research Projects

MASL invites you to the first Affinity Group of 2025! Gigi McAllister, the K-5 School Library-Media Specialist at Village Elementary School in Gorham, will share how she implements a yearly, K-5 school-wide, animal research project. Participants will learn how to tap into student interests to plan a multi-grade level research project that ignites a passion for shared learning.

The LMS is an expert co-teacher and instructional leader, advocating for personalized, rigorous inquiry-based learning opportunities to ensure that all students develop skills to ask questions, evaluate sources, use information responsibly, and self-assess their learning process.
